Abstract

Based on the poem “O ovo de galinha”, published in the book Serial (1961), we propose, in this article, to clarify stylistic strategies at poetry of João Cabral de Melo Neto, that allows the perception of the egg while aesthetic object. Among other contributions, we support on the conception of poetic image of Octavio Paz and Martin Heidegger’s theoretical contributions (2012) about art and poetry to dwell the aesthetic aspects of the chosen poem. Thus, through an analytical approach, we see the Pernambuco author’s approach to language when he designs the process of composing the poetic text based on the unauthorized observation of the images of the real.

Saulo Lopes de Sousa, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

PhD student in Literature Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Master of Arts (2018) from the State University of Maranhão (UEMA). Specialist in Linguistic and Literary Studies (2015) from the State University of Piauí (UESPI), Campus Torquato Neto (Teresina). Graduated in Literature / Literature (2014) from the State University of Maranhão (UEMA). Portuguese Language Teacher at the Federal Institute of Maranhão - IFMA / Campus Açailândia. Member of GELITI - Group of Literary and Imagetic Studies (UEMASUL), working in the following lines of research: 1) Literary studies in dialogues with other knowledge; 2) Cinema and teaching. Member of the Langage & Catharsis Research Group (IFMA), in the line of research Literature: aesthetic dialogues, threshold of knowledge. Currently, he dedicates investigations about the iconicity of the literary word, in the perspective of the interartistic relations between literature and image-sound, based on the work of director Luiz Fernando Carvalho for cinema and television. Other areas of interest: Literary theory (with an emphasis on Narratology); Comparative literature; Interart studies; Cinema and media devices; Adaptation theory.

Deivanira Vasconcelos Soares, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

PhD student in Literary Studies at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Master in Literary Theory (2019) from the State University of Maranhão (UEMA). Specialist in Higher Education Methodology (2016) by the Northeast Institute of Higher Education and Graduate Studies (INESPO). Graduated in Literature / Literature (2015) from the State University of Maranhão (UEMA). GELITI member | Literary and Imagetic Studies Group (UEMASUL), working in the following lines of research: 1) Literary studies in dialogues with other knowledge; 2) Cinema and teaching. PhD in Science of Literature (2011) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Master in Literature Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in the area of ​​Theory of Literature (2001). Specialist in Brazilian Literature (1994) by PUC-MG. Graduated in Literature at FAHUPE, Faculdades de Humanidades Pedro II (1990). She is currently an adjunct professor at the State University of the Tocantina Region of Maranhão - UEMASUL and a permanent professor in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Letters - Master's Degree in Letters / UEMA (concentration area: Literary Theory). Researcher at GELITI | Literary and Imagetic Studies Group. Areas of interest and experience: Literature and Cinematographic Adaptation, Contemporary Brazilian Literature, Literary Theory and Literature and Teaching.
