Abstract

This essay analyzes traces of lack of identity and creativity existing in the poem “Blind Light” (2014), by Marília Garcia. In order to answer the question “Is entering the interior space equivalent to leaving?” (GARCIA, 2016, p. 79) ideas about uncreative writing developed by Marjorie Perloff and Kenneth Goldsmith are used. It is considered that “Blind Light”, by excessively citing works and dialogues of other theorists or artists, builds its meanings from external elements to its form and content, i.e. from the appropriation of works preexisting itself.
