We investigate the presence of images of eroticism among women – or, of lesboerotism – in poems by contemporary Brazilian writers Maria Isabel Iorio and Simone Brantes. To this end, we adopted the notions discussed by the French philosopher Georges Bataille in his classic work Erotism: Death and Sensuality (1957); and by the American poet and thinker Audre Lorde, especially in the essays Uses of erotic: erotic as power and Poetry is not a luxury, both written in 1984. Thus, we discuss the production of a new body grammar, separated from the codes of heterosexuality, as proposed by Tatiana Pequeno.
