This article is dedicated to the reflection on contemporary Brazilian poetry by female authors from the works Não (2016), by Bruna Mitrano and Geografia dos ossos (2016), by Nina Rizzi. Considering that the poetry made in Brazil today is a frequent target of pessimistic criticism and accused of not having political potential by nostalgic critics of the poetic work of the last century, our objective is to contribute to studies on the subject, to demonstrate that the current production of female authorship maintains an intense dialogue with the political dimension, because its manifestations contemplate the urgencies of our time. For this, we start, mainly, from the theoretical notions of Célia Pedrosa (2008), Rita Terezinha Schmidt (2008, 2012) and Alberto Pucheu (2016).
