Abstract

This essay intends to analyze the text “The poem in the test tube” – “O poema no tubo de ensaio” – (2016), by Marília Garcia, from the concepts of repetition and escape proposed by Gilles Deleuze in Difference and Repetition (1968), in order p. 79). It considers that the essay-poem, by defining itself as a test of itself, of its reader, and of its own author, in addition to repeatedly testing the condition of being either a poem or an essay, escapes the univocal gender categorization and brings this answer in its own configuration.
