During Symbolist period, Puvis de Chavannes, Moreau and Rops inspire many verses of homage. These offerings at the crossroads of the arts reveal the bonds that poets and artists weave then. They also encourage the deployment of a fruitful dialogue between text and image, which enriches and renews the writing of the dedication. Beyond the diversity of forms and ways, the gifts of poems between saying and seeing reflect a questioning on poetic creation and the suggestive powers of language.
