In a dialogue between literature and some science, the purpose of this article is to make brief notes on the question of time and its measurability (mechanical or human) from the reading of some poems by João Cabral de Melo Neto, in search of a notion of the role that such an instance represents in the poetics of the “engineer-poet”.
