Jean-Pierre Lemaire (1948, Sallanches, França) é poeta, professor de latim, e mora em Paris. Publicou oito livros de poesia: Les marges du jour (La Dogana, 1981), L’exode et la nuée, seguido de La pierre à voix (Gallimard, 1982), Visitation (Gallimard, 1985), Le coeur circoncis (Gallimard, 1989), Le chemin du cap (Gallimard, 1993), L’Annonciade (Gallimard, 1997), L’intérieur du monde (Cheyne, 2002) e Figure humaine (Gallimard, 2008). Além disso, é autor de um volume de ensaios sobre poesia, Marcher dans la neige (Bayard, 2008).
