The insurrection of poetry: Herberto Helder and the word as a foundational principle

We investigate the poetics ofHerberto Helder as an insurrection oflanguage and a gesture of ontological foundation. ln dialogue with Martin Heidegger, Gilles Deleuze, Franco Berardi, and contemporary criticism, we analyze A colher na boca, focusing on the sequence of poems entitled "O Poema" and tracing its initiatory path from the emergence of the word to its exposure to the world. Our reading highlights the centrality of the body and of the sacred as a material and sacrificial experience. Poetic creation is thus understood as an ethics of creation that reinscribes meaning between poet, people, and world.
