Cláudia R. Sampaio is one of the voices of the newest generation of Portuguese literature, with a body of work that moves through poetry, theater, cinema, and the visual arts. This article analyzes aspects ofher metapoetry based on the book Ver no escuro (2016), where we find recurring images that present poetry as a means of liberating the psyche, since, between the poet-being and their weaving, there occurs a movement in which the creator is also shaped by what they create. Assisting us in the process of analysis, we will draw mainly on the studies of Gaston Bachelard and Octavio Paz.
