Based on considerations regarding the creaturely body and the grotesque style (Auerbach, 1987; Bakthin, 1993), the article intends to indicate a possible aesthetics of smell, taste and disgust (Jaquet, 2010; Le Breton, 2006) in the poetry of Glauco Mattoso. It also considers aspects that point to the theatricality in which Mattose’s lyrics are embedded.
