Based on Não escrever [com Roland Barthes], by Paloma Vidal, and Libros Chiquitos, by Tamara Kamenszain, the purpose of this essay is to think about how the position of the mother figure in the writing and reading scene produces a critique. In the first, a “crítica amorosa” gives way to desire as a movement that implies putting the child’s point of view on the scene. In the second, a “generoso género” implies a “ver fazer” which, under the status of the daughter’s critical-generous point of view, puts desire on the scene. These displacements challenge the place of criticism, both as a literary genre and as an enunciative position, as a place of passage.
