The presence of the body in Anna Świrszczyńska poetical work

Abstract

This essay aims to present comments on the question of the body in the poems written by Polish writer Anna Świrszczyńska (1909-1984). Throughout her writings it is possible to see the different facets of the corporeality, such as: the externalization of love, motherhood and feeling alive. For that, excerpts from her poems and interpretation based on critical texts about the work of the aforementioned literate will be highlighted.
