About the Journal
Focus and Scope
TEXTO POÉTICO is a journal published by the Poetic Text Theory Working Group, WT of the National Association of Postgraduate and Research in Literature and Linguistics (ANPOLL). Its main objective is to disseminate theoretical or critical unpublished researches on poetry. Papers are published in the fixed sections "Dossiê" and "Vária". The section "Dossiê" is dedicated to specific themes of poetry studies. The journal also publishes translations, interviews, book reviews, and poems. Papers can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French or Italian, and must necessarily comply with specific standards available on the journal page.
Peer Review Process
Texto Poético not requires Article Processing Charges and submission charges to its authors.
The selection of works to be published is done in two stages.
In the first stage the paper is evaluated by the Editorial Board, which analyzes the paper’s content and form to determine if it fits in the journal’s editorial policy and if it follows publication standards. The disqualification of the paper in this stage occurs when the manuscript:
1) disregards ABNT standards. Principally with regards to citations, bibliographical references, identification of tables and figures throughout the text;
2) presents inadequate writing skills by demonstrating lack of control of the academic language such as cohesion problems, linguistic and typing errors;
3) presents a simple literary review without any critical stance;
4) disregards the format required by the journal.
5) does not have at least one PhD as author.
If the paper meets all of these basic requirements, it is then sent to two members of the Editorial Board or to partners ad hoc. It is evaluated on the following aspects: topic relevance, research originality, clarity of methodology, adequate writing according to the standard pattern. Only those papers that are approved by both partners will be published. In cases of extreme disagreement between the partners, a third evaluation is requested.
Once the paper is accepted, copyrights are automatically transferred to the journal. As a demonstration of gratitude for their collaboration, authors will receive 2 (two) copies of the issue in which their paper is published.
Publication Frequency
The journal Texto Poético publishes one volume yearly and two issues per volume, with publications forecasted for July and December.
